How does Blooms Privé work?

Blooms Privé is a patent-pending underwear that has detachable sides and can fold into its own self-enclosed hidden pocket for ease of transport and discreet use. It is available with two different lining options – regular and a period-friendly absorbency.

What makes it revolutionary?

No other panty on the market addresses the three things Blooms Privé is known for – having detachable sides, two types of lining absorption, and being able to fold into its own pocket. This is why we feel Blooms are the next evolution of women’s underwear.

What’s the pocket for and how do I use it?

The pocket allows Blooms to be rolled up and tucked into a ball and transported discreetly in your purse. Ladies, we heard you about using the pocket for other things…what you put in the pocket is entirely up to your discretion! =)

Will the metal clasps cause discomfort while I’m wearing Blooms?

The metal clasps on Blooms Privé are designed to sit on your hips in a place that doesn’t cause discomfort. We’ve tested them during yoga sessions, throughout busy days and activities, and have not been distracted or made uncomfortable by their placement. If it does cause you discomfort, please let us know!

How do I care for Blooms?

Blooms are best washed by hand with a mild detergent. But we know you’re busy, so the next best thing is in a mesh garment bag on the delicate wash cycle (cool water), and hung to dry. Make sure the clasps are connected before washing! If Blooms are put in the dryer, please use the medium to cool air setting. The only noticeable wear and tear with washing we’ve seen (and can’t prevent), is that the clasps tend to lose their brilliant shine after many washes through tumbling in the washer and dryer.

How long does Blooms last?

Blooms should last as long as any other pair of your regular underwear. Blooms are made of high quality fabrics, the clasps are made for active use, and they will be sewn at a quality facility that produces athletic and swim wear.

Last updated: June 27, 2017 19:52

Are Blooms disposable?

Blooms may be disposed of, but are intended to be worn and used just like your regular underwear. We’ve designed and produced Blooms to be as durable and long-lasting as any standard underwear, using clasps that are made for active use, and sewn at a quality production facility. Just wash, wear, and repeat!

What do you mean by “period friendly"?

Period-friendly means that the panties can absorb moisture from vaginal discharge, sweat, and light periods without soaking through. Our period-friendly lining has 4 layers of protection. The top mesh layer helps keep you dry as it wicks away moisture, the second layer absorbs fluid keeping you from feeling wetness, the third layer is an impermeable fabric that protects the fluids from showing through, and the fourth layer is the outside fabric of the Blooms underwear. You’ll know when it’s time to change your Blooms, but it should not be visible to anyone else!

Can Blooms replace panty liners?

Yes! Similar to a tampon or panty liner, the period-friendly Blooms are just as absorbent (up to 1 teaspoon of liquid or 5 mL), allowing you to wear them comfortably and with confidence, without having to worry about leaks. Keep a spare pair of Blooms in your purse to change your underwear when the underwear has maxed out its absorbency.

Can Blooms replace maxipads?

No, Blooms are not meant to replace maxipads. Our period-friendly lining has an absorbency similar to pantiliners (1 teaspoon of liquid or 5 mL), but is not intended to replace maxipads.

Can I order internationally?

Yes! We can ship internationally. However, the recipient of an international shipment may be subject to import taxes, customs duties and fees, which are levied once a shipment reaches your country. Additional charges for customs clearance is the recipient’s responsibility; we have no control over these charges and cannot predict what they may be. Customs policies vary widely from country to country; you should contact your local customs office for further information. When customs clearance procedures are required, it can cause delays beyond our original delivery estimates.

What is the Blooms return and exchange policy?

If you have Blooms in it’s original sealed packaging and unopened, then you can exchange or return in within 30 days. Otherwise, we cannot return or exchange Blooms because of the nature of the purchase. For the cleanliness and safety of our ladies, we want to assure them that every purchase has not ever been worn or tried on by someone else. If the Blooms aren’t to your liking, we encourage you to please wash them and donate to a friend, family member, or local clothing closet that supports women in need.

BackerKit FAQ

What is BackerKit?

BackerKit is a service that crowdfunded project creators use to keep track of hundreds to tens of thousands of backers—from shipping details, pledge levels, preferences and quantities, whether they have paid or had their card declined, special notes, and everything in between!

The BackerKit software and support team is independent from the campaign’s project team—BackerKit does not handle the actual reward shipping. For more information about the preparation or delivery status of your rewards, please check the project's updates page.

How does BackerKit work?

After the campaign ends, the project creator will send you an email with a unique link to your survey. You can check out a walkthrough of the process here.

I never received my invitation. How do I complete the survey?

The most common reasons for not receiving a survey email is that you may be checking an email inbox different from the email address you used to sign up with Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account, or it may be caught in your spam filter.

Confirm that the email address you are searching matches the email address tied to your Kickstarter, Indiegogo, or Tilt Pro account. If that doesn’t work, then try checking your spam, junk or promotions folders. You can also search for "backerkit” in your inbox.

To resend the survey to yourself, visit the project page and input the email address associated with your Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account.

How do I update my shipping address?

BackerKit allows you to update your shipping address until the shipping addresses are locked by the project creator. To update your address, go back to your BackerKit survey by inputting your email here.

When will my order be shipped, charged or locked?

That is handled directly by the project creator. BackerKit functions independently of the project itself, so we do not have control of their physical shipping timeline. If you want to check on the project’s status, we recommend reading over the project's updates page.

I completed the survey, but haven't received my rewards yet. When will they arrive?

As BackerKit does not actually handle any rewards or shipping, the best way to stay updated on the shipping timeline would be to check out the project's updates page.
